Hemp Protein P40 is milled from seed cake; a bi-product which is created when UK grown seed is pressed for oil at our award winning, SALSA accredited factory here in Warminster, Wilts.

Hemp Protein P40 is a fine powder, blond in colour with a nutty taste. Its slightly more coarse than P50 but that is reflected in the price. It’s a great option!

Our Hemp Protein P40 naturally contains all 20 amino acids and is a complete protein, meaning it contains all 9 essential amino acids that the human body needs but cannot produce, it naturally contains over 40% protein and 32% insoluble fibre and is milled from UK grown seed in our award winning, SALSA accredited factory here in Warminster, Wilts.

PROTEINS: Hemp Protein consists of the easily digestible proteins edestin (65%) and albumin (35%), along with all 20 amino acids.

FIBRE: 17% insoluble fibre. Insoluble fibre increases gut transit times and helps to regulate gut functionality.

MINERAL AND VITAMINS: Hemp Protein naturally contains plenty of nutrients like vitamins E and B (including folate) along with a bevy of minerals, such as phosphorous, potassium, magnesium, zinc, selenium, calcium, copper and iron.

How To Use

With a slightly coarser texture than our hemp protein powder 50%, this can be added to oatmeal, porridge, protein balls, pancake or bread batters, cakes, granola bars, flapjacks, flatbreads, breads, pastas or just included in any meal to boost protein content. Protein 40 can also be consumed in smoothies and shakes.

How much to use:

Use it as much as you want to contribute to your daily protein intake. A 20g serving of our Hemp Protein 40 provides 8g of protein. The Reference Nutrient Intake (RNI) for protein for adults is 0.75g protein per kg body weight per day.

Great product, we add it to our porridge to increase protein and fibre content.

Excellent product

I find this hemp powder to be pleasant tasting and very easy to use. I generally add a couple of spoonfuls to my morning oats, and I also add to smoothies when I make them. I now prefer hemp powder to other protein powders and when I've finished my four packs of 40% I'll order again.
