Happy Gut – The British Hemp Company

 Introducing Happy Gut

LAUNCHING DECEMBER OUR NEW PRODUCT HAPPY GUT.

WHAT IS IT?
Happy Gut is an innovate blend of soluble and insoluble fibre in the correct ratios for gut health. Hemp is our source of insoluble fibre and we use inulin (chicory root) to provide the soluble fibre. That’s it. No added sugars, preservatives, or anti caking agents, non GMO and allergen free.

The University of California recommend a total dietary fibre intake of 25 to 30 grams per day with about one-fourth — 6 to 8 grams per day — coming from soluble fibre https://www.ucsfhealth.org/

Our product is based around this calculation.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS PRODUCT?
The NHS say that most of us need to eat more fibre in our diet. Eating plenty of fibre is associated with a lower risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and bowel cancer. Government guidelines say our dietary fibre intake should increase to 30g a day, as part of a healthy balanced diet. As most adults are only eating an average of about 20g day, we need to find ways of increasing our intake. https://www.nhs.uk/live-well

WHAT DOES IT TASTE LIKE
It has a very neutral taste.

HOW SHOULD I USE IT
Great mixed in with yogurt, in a smoothie, as a topper or sprinkled on a salad.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I USE
An intake of dietary fibre is recommended to be 30g per day but you should be getting fibre from a variety of sources. As our product also contains protein, we recommend using 20 - 30 grams of our blend per day in addition to a balanced diet.

THIS PRODUCT WILL BE AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE FROM IN THE NEW YEAR
