Founder & MD
Steve Glover Is the director and founder of The British Hemp Company, as well as being the exclusive distributor for Henola, the new generation variety of high yielding hemp seed. He is also a consultant specialising in licensing and cultivation of hemp. Steve looks after all production, compliance and licensing.
Steve was the founder and CEO of the multiple award-winning Severn Project CIC in Bristol, which involved the growing, packing and distribution of salad and herbs.
DAN HARROLD
Grower, Agricultural Support, Product Development
Dan is a fifth-generation farmer from North Norfolk, having lived and worked on a farm his entire life. After graduating from Harper Adams University in 2013, Dan decided to join the family-run farming enterprise which consists of 2,100ha and over 50 rental properties.
After growing the same crops year-on-year and experiencing first-hand the ever-increasing challenges and barriers with which UK farmers must contend in order to remain competitive, Dan started to look for a crop that was not only carbon-sequential and grown chemical-free but also supported biodiversity.
During this search, Dan discovered the growing demand for industrial hemp and was taken aback by the environmental benefits that can be created from arguably the most versatile crop on the planet, which has countless end uses. Dan planted his first crop this year (2020) and has a keen interest in creating new hemp products for the world to enjoy!
Lee Duffy
Business Development
Lee has worked in property and land development, system installation and the media and is part of a successful business developing both domestic and commercial property.
His experience as an entrepreneur brings a level of oversight and strategic direction to the company, and his role includes finance and commercial development of downstream products. His focus is on our sister company, UK Hemp, and products for the building and paper trades.
